Importance of Sunscreen

Easiest way to protect your skin

By: Aura Del Rosario

Premature aging of the skin, sunburn, and skin cancer can happen to you especially when you often stay outdoors. If you are a skincare junkie, you already know how we can prevent it in the easiest and simplest way, which is the use of sunscreen. Sunscreen has a sun protection factor or “SPF” that can protect our skin from UVB and UVA rays which cause harmful effects to our skin. Uneven skin tone and dullness of skin are some signs of premature skin aging caused by harmful sun rays. This is a good reminder to protect your skin and for you to start wearing sunscreen with higher SPF.

But did you know that aside from the topical sunscreens known as the usual sunscreen cream or gel, there is also an oral sunscreen? This is consumed in the form of pills. Oral sunscreen provides total body surface coverage, targeting deeper sun protection. It is also convenient to use, unlike topical sunscreens that need to be reapplied every 2-3 hours. In addition, oral sunscreens are made of antioxidants that can fight off free radicals and prevent the effects of UV rays, which lead to skin damage and aging.

Many oral sunscreens are available in the local market, and Lipowhite Oral Sun Defense (OSD) is one of the best choices. This oral supplement is made from powerful and premium ingredients. Apart from providing sun protection through the Samambaia extract ingredient, which offers protection from both UVB and UVA rays, it also has skin whitening and slimming effects due to its S-Acetyl Glutathione content. This ingredient promotes radiant and vibrant-looking skin, detoxification, and slows down the skin aging process. Additionally, Hope Leal, an avid user of Lipowhite OSD, mentions two factors she loves about the product: it is a “REEF-FRIENDLY SUNSCREEN” that does not contain ingredients that can cause coral bleaching, and it serves as a hybrid product combining skincare and a detoxifying supplement.

This is a very nice post! I like how this blog was able to put depth on why people should practice frequently applying sunscreen as a habit and not something to be made fun of!
